Cosmetic Dentistry

TL was 87 years old when she came to me.  “My sister was the one with the pretty teeth,” she said.  “Can you make my teeth pretty?”

LB does not have before pictures in her clinical file.  Why?  Because, try as we might, we could never get her to smile.  After her cosmetic dentistry, she always has a big, broad smile on her face.

JD brought a picture of a movie star when she came in for her treatment.  “Can you make my teeth look like hers?”

GD needed a considerable number of fillings and crowns.  “I’m getting married in two weeks.  I just want white teeth.”

Cosmetic Dentistry means different things to different people.  Many people have healthy teeth, but they don’t like the color, shape or alignment.  Other people are missing teeth and know they need major treatment and just want the teeth to look nice when they are finished.  Others consider a cosmetic makeover because they have just gone through a divorce, are starting a new job, just finished school, and want a new look to go with the new phase of life.  This page is designed for the person considering a new smile.

What Cosmetic options do I have?

Options for changing your smile range from tooth whitening to complete makeovers involving crowns, implants, reshaping the gums, changing the color and shape of the teeth.  The cost can range from a few hundred dollars to many thousands of dollars.

While the financial investment can be a considerable sum, we encourage people to also consider the investment of time and the interruption of life during the makeover process.  There is a big difference between a couple of hours for laser tooth whitening versus several appointments over three or four months to allow for various procedures to heal before proceeding to the next phase.  It is not a decision to be made lightly.  In the menu to the left are some options and considerations for you to browse.
